Graduated from the Honors Program Magna Cum Laude. Whoopee!
The Graduate.
Ainsley and Hernan - Thanksgiving at my sister Freddi's house in Woodbridge, CT
I was going to send this photo of Ainsley as a Christmas card when she was 3. She told me I wasn't allowed to do that since I was sending to MY friends. So I finally am sending it. She has learned you have to kiss a lot of frogs...
Every year on Dr. Seuss's birthday, various community members read his stories to the school children in Chatham as part of "Read Across America". Here I read Green Eggs and Ham to the high school culinary arts class.
What a surprise when my ESL summer class was made up of Chinese girls instead of Latin American or Eastern European workers. Every year Chatham "imports" hundreds of student workers for the hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, etc., when our population goes from 6,900 to 25,000.
A huge variety of pumpkins at our church this year.
Our church sold pumpkins in October. This is a weird variety where something is excreted from the pumpkin - but what I loved was this little frog nestled right in there!
The cast of "Saved in the Nick Tickle of Time" - Spring 2011 - Chatham Middle School - yet another rabbit out of the hat.
Chatham Middle School presented "The (Almost) Totally True Story of Hansel & Gretel" early December. They did wonderfully well, though a week before, I was tearing my hair out!
This is some of the hail which fell in Springfield, MA, while Jim was working there with the Red Cross in June.
The magnificent new bridge bypassing the Hoover Dam - from our Christmas trip last year.
An old photo of me working on the sailboat in the West Indies in 1972-3 surfaced.
Some spring daffodils around someone's mailbox on my walking route in our neighborhood. I just like the photo.
The Chatham bike trail in spring.
I love that the grocery store in Chatham is selling Sand for cat litter. Do they realize that Cape Cod is a sandbar?
I visited the Martin Luther King Memorial, even if the dedication ended up being canceled the week I was there.
I participated in a study of transcranial stimulation in May. Sure did mess up my hair! Scary, huh?
This Miss Reardon does not like fur....
A kinder, gentler Aunt Polly. Tom Sawyer at Harwich Junior Theatre.
Not a great photo, but Hoke is driving me to the Piggly Wiggly grocery store here and I'm checking out the speedometer
